Welcome to Travel + Explore & Play with Sallee Jay, where I am your host, Thank you all for being patient with me as I took a hiatus from the blog.

In order for me to continue to take Salleejay.com to higher heights, it requires a different level of focus, dedication and vulnerability. I know the long-term goals that I have in mind for the future and that required me to step away from the blog temporarily to focus on the leadership development aspects of my business.

One thing about life that I have found to be true, is that it is a continuum.

Self discovery involves taking the time to understand who are as a person on a deeper level. For me this has involved addressing triggers and traumas, establishing new boundaries, eliminating limiting beliefs that no longer serve me, focusing on wellness, spirituality and continued education.

So to get you all up to speed, I decided to check in and share some life updates!

I celebrated my 41st birthday in February with people that I loved! It was super lowkey and chill and I felt loved beyond measure. It was full of surprises and little miracles along the way.

I’ve been learning more about sustainability, operational design, systems implementation, durable skills and leadership principles to be able to incorporate into my Alpha Woman retreat, coming in 2024.

I have been singing Gospel and Christian Contemporary music, one of my first true life passions and it has been challenging and rewarding at the same time. I have had learn and retain a lot of new music, in a short period of time. In turn, this has caused me to focus on my tonality, pitch, voice control and not to mention I am singing and worshipping with all new musicians. I am super excited to see where God leads me in this season of my life and I am grateful for every opportunity that I have to sing and minister to others.

Between work, community commitments, singing/rehearsals and life in general — YOUR GIRL is tired. Yet, I am humbled to see so many of the things that I prayed about manifest before me daily.

My hope is that this post encourages someone to understand that sometimes you have to say, NO in order to accept a greater YES!

Don’t you worry though, I have amazing trips planned for the summer and fall.

I am excited for this new season in my life, I am in a great space and I cannot wait to continue to share my world with you all.
